No wonder you were tired. Driving down, getting treatment the next day and driving back (in terrible conditions) sounds miserable. I CANNOT listen to radio news (NPR, Fox, whatever). The sensationalism veiled as "balance" is sickening.

The National Forest campground in Christmas is actually quite nice as a layover. We've stayed there a couple years the night before Hiawatha. We've not done the casino, only because we're cheap.
