Out of the Dark, Chapter Fourteen, Part One

May 14, 2013 22:49

I just posted this part on teaandswissroll, where it's called Chapter Nine, Part One, and will be uploaded on AO3 as Chapter Eight (!). Sorry, I don't see any way to unify all those labels.

For once I am quite pleased with myself. Cowley is not; I mean, not with me and not with himself. Who said : "You hurt the one you love"?

I'm enjoying this read, very much so. I think you have a good grasp of the characters, and I definitely like your supporting cast. I especially find it intriguing how Cowley is discovering so much about himself while he expected to help Bodie finding himself.

Thousand thanks for your comments and appreciation; I really need some of that kind for, sometimes, I wonder if I'm not writing for my screen only. I'm a lazy body; I can't work only for the sake of my (scarce, erratic) inspiration. I want some encouragement. I'll add your name to the (short) list of readers who, at least, can stand my odd pairing (must get as high as...twenty?).

I'm especially pleased to know you find my characters true to life and not too far from their models, taking in account the earlier time and other specifics of the situation.

Ah! Interesting; I hadn't thought about that, but quite right.

Quite understandable. I always liked the Cowley-Bodie interaction in the series and thus I am open to the idea of them being romantically involved (even if both of them would probably object to that kind of phrasing). So I am always thrilled to find stories that explore the possibilities, especially if those are long and detailed and well-written like yours.

have fun writing and I'm looking forward to read the next installment. Would it be okay if I friended you?

More than OK, of course, and I'll friend you back. I rarely post, though, I mainly use my account to comment on others' entries.
