Finally finding my groove again

Wow, it's amazing how long it takes to form good habits and how little time it takes to break them.  Too bad the same didn't apply to BAD habits....  why is that BTW?

I finally worked up the courage to get on the scales on Monday.  To my surprise, I only gained 3.5 pounds.  YES, that's a lot.  But considering that I drank beer and ate whatever I ( Read more... )

It's been pouring rain here as well, which has been awful as I've been assigned downtown for training at head office for the entire week. Cut to me hustling through downtown Toronto in my silly pant suit and business heels in rain = FAIL of EPICNESSS for Andy. :(

I was telling my sister last night that we chose a bad time to take the flannel sheets off the beds. I was quite chilly last night. This morning there is no rain...thankfully. It still overcast and blah though. Can't wait until the sun actually decides to pay a visit and stay. :)

Oh I know. I just turned the heat up actually. Because it's so damp out it makes everything feel that much colder.

It sucks!

Weather has been crappy!! Sun is out today though, finally!! It's been really depressing.

I can't wait for season 7 either!! I am very EXCITED too!! It's such a great show. MM as a regular is fabulous for her and us!!I will have to try and make it over to the closer boards this season to chat about it. Have you read any little spoilers yet? Sounds like a very interesting season for sure.

Good luck with the gardens!! I am pretty useless when it comes to any sort of gardening thing!!

Good luck with the outdoor projects. Boo for the rain though.

As for the vegetable garden, I don't know if there are differences in average temperatures between where you live and where I live, but here, we can't plant our vegetable gardens this early.

I haven't planted one in a few years, but if my memory serves me right, we couldn't plant before mid-to-late June (around the 20th if I recall), otherwise overnight frost could kill the crops.

Of course, it's different if you have a green-house.

Anyway, best of luck with all of your gardening and landscaping projects. Those are always fun. :-)

Hmmm.... I think you might be right. It's frakking cold still. I just want to get the hell outside and out of the house!

Ha! I can totally beat you all on the weather front. It snowed (very close to) here yesterday. Yes. You read SNOWED. In May. We've had 20+ (Celsius). And the birch is blooming.
But apparently the weather doesn't care.

Holy Shit! Where are you?

Aarhus, Denmark. It snowed in Aalborg, about 60 miles north of here. But it's really extreme, everyone thought we were joking. It also snowed in Poland and in Norway. It's just not normal. And they're promising 20+ during the weekend. No wonder the entire danish population won't leave the house without clothes for ANY and EVERY kind of weather...

I knew you were somewhere around there but I wasn't sure.

It's not that extreme in my region but in other parts of Canada it sounds a lot like you guys. And still you'll find people who claim climate change isn't happening... *shrugs*

I keep a change of clothes in the car because of how quickly it can go from hot to cold and back again... especially with the kids it's such a challenge to be prepared.
