Ahhh... Home sweet home

7 Days was not long enough.

But then again, it was too long without my boys. if we do it again next year we'll go for 10 or 12 days but we will bring our boys. Yeah yeah yeah... I know, I'm crazy.

Why???? Cuz I'm a fucking idiot! I haven't had a drink since I quit smoking... it's my trigger. So I was drinking beer and was with 5 smokers and figured I was getting enough second hand smoke just sitting with them that it really didn't make a difference. Yes yes yes, I know, poor excuse.

As for the kids, they were super excited to see us. I missed them like crazy too so it was nice to get home get some high-quality snuggles.

Yeah, it seemed like an acceptable thing to do at the time but now I really wish I hadn't.

Oh well, now I just have to make sure I don't start again. I won't make the mistake of believing I'm one of those people who can 'only smoke when they drink'... no no no

Besides, I don't intend to drink again until next trip anyway.

Very well put.

I was quite content to curl up in my own bed last night. And I missed the boys BIG TIME. Every time I saw something or went somewhere I would think "Oh, Owen would love that" or "Drew would totally get a kick out of this..."

next year we'll bring the kids with us.

We did, it was awesome. Next year I think we'll bring the kids. Our travel companions and us were talking about trying to find an all-inclusive with a bungaloo or a villa or something where we could all stay together.... if there's even such a thing.

That way at night when the kids are in bed we can sit around and have a few beers and play some cards and we don't have to worry about finding a sitter service or bring someone down to watch the kids or anything.... I should start looking now if I want something like that I think.
