Navigating through a maze of sewers, it was hard to just shrug off the feelings of nostalgia. And not that he wanted to, either. If circumstances were a little different, if they weren't going after the firm because they had actually had the balls to kidnap Buffy's sister, this little trip might actually register as something he'd consider fun

Gunn hated the sewers. He wasn't sure if anyone liked the sewers, but he also wasn't sure if many people had been in the sewers of Los Angeles. They were lucky. Even though he wasn't down here as much as Angel had to be because he was a vampire and couldn't go around in the daylight, but Gunn had spent more time than he'd ever like to admit down here, and that was before this particularly smelly day in them

Faith was prepared. Somehow, this group trusted her enough with letting have weapons in her hands. Okay, so a stake and a small knife that were concealed. The knife actually had made her a little nervous in seeing it and holding it. But she hoped it didn't show on her face. She would use her hands and other limbs to bust her way through before she pulled out the actual weapon, though

Buffy was barely thinking of the fact they were in a gross, smelly sewer. Her mind was way too focused on the work ahead of her. Plus, sewers tended to bring back memories. Like your ensouled vampire boyfriend breaking up with you. The very same one she was in a sewer with. Plus, Gunn and Faith

Faith had appreciated the way Buffy was able to take care of the lone security guard. Had Faith been the one to do it...she pushed that thought aside as they made their way onto the elevator. She peered down, admiring that battle axe Gunn was wielding, kinda hoping she'd get the chance to use it herself. She smirked and then let her head roll from side to side as they made their way up to the twentieth floor of the elevator, wondering who chose Hell Incorporated's elevator music. She focused on the back of Angel's head as they rode up in silence, itching for something to happen

Buffy was back in her fighting stance when the elevators opened to show six security guards--all of whom looked like the stereotypical donut consumers she saw in movies.
She was ready to help take them out when she heard Angel's words. And she didn't need to be told twice. She pushed past the guards as Angel sprang at them, running at full speed until she came to the appropriate door. She heard gunfire, but couldn't look back. She was so close. So close to finally getting her sister back.
She kicked open the door and moved into the vast office. She saw a pretty attractive guy in a nice suit sitting behind a desk. And she could only guess that this was the sister-napper, Lindsey, since he fit Andrew's and Angel's description.
Folding her arms, Buffy stood in the center of his office, "So, I'm only going to ask you this once and then I'm going to get cranky: Give me back my sister."
Gunn actually had to duck a bullet or two as the guards started firing, but it wasn’t like it wasn’t something that he hadn’t had to do before. Such was the life of Gunn growing up…and still now, if we’re being honestly. Not wanting to kill a human (but wanting to hurt him enough to make him reconsider his job at Wolfram & Hart), Gunn hit one of the guys with the flat side of his axe, not cutting him at all but definitely knocking him unconscious, causing the guard to slump to the ground. Good by him. One less guy firing weapons around or chasing after them

Lindsey had pocketed the stake by the time Buffy had reached his office, but had the cross around his neck and the revolver pointed at the door. He figured that the guards would go after Angel first. That’s what they were told, after all. He had no real interest in firing this thing at Angel, especially since it wouldn’t do a damn bit of good unless he hit him in his skull, but even that was so thick that it wouldn’t do any good. The rest, though…guns were still useful
