Hiding in the office had been a bloody smart idea, if he did say so himself. It was probably a rotten cowardly thing to do either. But considering the people who had invaded his safe haven already thought he was a rotten coward at any rate, it didn't make much of a difference. Wesley just hoped none of the others would get the bright idea to invite anyone into the office

Cordelia shut the door behind her as she caught Wesley's look, coming around his desk and propping herself on the edge of it to look down at him. She heaved a sigh, "I think you're right about the 'us' actually," she said. She had been pretty nasty to the Sunnydale people and was probably the only person who gave a rats bum about Wesley while he was there. So, if they wanted to entertain themselves, they could have at it. She was fine hiding out with Wesley and not seeing Xander or Faith. And not seeing Xander and Faith hanging out together.

"I know," she said, rolling her eyes, "I don't see why they need her, anyway. I thought she was supposed to be in jail learning how to not murder all of us. I really doubt she was out on good behavior." She glanced towards the door, idly hoping Xander wouldn't do anything stupid with Faith with all the knives

Why Faith was out of jail and not locked up behind bars with the key thrown away was something Wesley himself was very eager to find out. Even more so why she was strutting about as if those Sunnydale people were her friends. They had treated her as second best just as they had treated Wesley and Cordelia

Cordelia wanted to laugh at Wesley's incredulity at the situation, but he was completely right. The newcomers had completely destroyed the dynamics of the office. They could be solving cases or fixing Angel or killing Drusilla. Really though, if they hadn't come, nothing would have changed. They'd be holed up in this office just the same, moping over their current situation. And now they had more to mope over. It was a change of pace, at least.

"At least if Buffy's talking to Angel, he can't sleep for 10 days straight," she said, shaking her head. She looked at Wesley, "I'm just trying to find some silver lining in all this, okay

While they were working on getting that Andrew guy to talk in the kitchen by plying him with more and more beer (which seemed to only work so far in making him talk about all the wrong things instead of what they wanted), Gunn figured he'd take a break from nerd central and go and see what Wes was up to. He walked to where he had seen his friend poke his head quickly out of the office, pausing for a second when he heard voices inside

Oh yes indeed. Kissing seemed to shut up his brain for a while. It made his oh so male brain wonder how quiet it could become if they were to do errr... *other* things. Not that he had ever thought of those things of imagined them in any way let alone dreamed about it. Of course not, Wesley was the perfect gentleman and would never

Wesley's curious hands were surprising. But, most definitely a welcome surprise. Cordelia shivered against him, feeling electricity running under her skin as she pressed herself against him

Wes cussing and screaming just made all of this funny to the buzzed Gunn, causing him to start giggling, pushing his hand against his mouth in hopes of not giving Wes the wrong idea or something. He wasn't laughing at him...OK, he totally was, but more at him tripping over the cat and swearing than anything else
