Alice had no idea why she was here. Even her mock husband wasn't worth this shit but she had dressed up for the occassion. It wasn't white but it was as close as someone that wasn't worth a billion dollars could do.
Luckily for her Will looked like his picture. Sidling up next to him, she looked out over the party and not at him.
"You forgot to chain me to the stove, husband dear. Sorry but I've escaped. Hope you don't mind starving and blowing yourself."
"It was embracing that got me in this situation in the first place,' Alice said with a sigh. "I'd hate to see how you treat your girlfriends,' she said with a mocking pout.
"Or if this all just special for me,' she asked, hand coming to rest against his chest.
Alice was still blushing, just a bit, yet she didn't care. It had been a long time since she'd been comfortable around someone. Her gaze flickered up to the hat. "Don't lose that."
All the teasing and jokes had been so much easier to maintain online. Now, face to face, it wasn't easy. Not in the least. Not when he loomed over her, top hat on and seeming protective and rakish at the same time.
"I'm projecting emotions on you,' she said softly, thinking about things her therapist had said. A moment later she was lean up, on tip toe, her lips softly brushing against his.
Out of all the kisses he'd stolen that night, this was the first one that had been taken from him.
She was warm, and tasted of strawberries, and lifting her slightly off of her feet, he deepened the kiss.
"Oh god, baby," he murmured, barely lifting his mouth from her lips. "I've been dying to do this since I saw you. You would beat me to it, wouldn't you?"
Alice fairly squeaked as she found her body pressed to his, caught up in the moment and the smiles. Her hand slid up, lightly curling around the back of his neck, letting herself sink into the kiss. As it broke, her lips turned up in a cheeky grin.
"You're slow, Will. Not my fault." She kissed the corner of his mouth.
He gave a crooked grin. "No, not your fault at all, but then I guess it would be too forward for me to ask what your plans are for the rest of the night. Because I really think we need to consummate our marriage. Make it official."
Will leaned down and lightly nipped at her bottom lip. "Because I swear, I'm going to explode if I have to hold back from you any longer."
"I figured why mess with subtle when we both know what we want." By now he was teasing her with his lips, and even though she was...well, he didn't know what number she was of the night, he knew she'd be the last.
"But if you'd like I can compliment you on your shoes. I didn't notice them until you just mentioned them but damn. My wife has style."
This was not how Alice saw the night going. At least not that she'd let herself think about. She certainly had thought about it entailing her wearing a ring, even if there was a good chance he'd gotten back change on a buck.
"Don't get attached to them,' she teased. "I borrowed them from the drama department, along with the dress. They have to be back on Monday."
"Then I better not rip it tonight," he answered, stealing another kiss.
And then, he hesitated a little. All the bantering aside, he had to admit, he was enjoying himself. And hated the idea that at the end of the night, she'd go her own way.
No thanks.
"Look, I know we're married and all, and I have every right to whisk you away but....do you want to get out of here?"
"I'd prefer that, yes." The words were muffled against his mouth, knowing she should back up and pull away but that part of her that knew it was the right thing to do was quickly silenced.
"Do you think I'm that easy,' Alice asked, a smile curving her lips despite the way her eyes seemed to darken. "I guess I am wearing your ring so it might point that way."
Alice cracked up. "It would have been cheaper to put two quarters in one of those bubblegum type machines. I feel so special."
She stayed close. "No promises about sex tonight. I might end up with a headache." She looked up at him and there was a challenging gleam in her eyes. "I mean it. Still asking me to leave with you, or want to toss your line back out there?"
He slapped his forehead. "A machine! Of course, it would've all made so much sense and been that much easier. Look at all the hard work I put into making this relationship work."
And then he sobered up, just a little. "I'm okay with no sex. That'll come later when you realize you can't keep your hands off of me. But if you really want me to make you feel like a woman, I can tell you you have no choice and you'd better please me tonight."
"I'm almost about to swoon,' Alice sighed, putting the back of her hand to her brow, lashings fluttering.
"Promise to make me take it like the bitch I am too,' she asked. "If I decide to be a woman and not your willing servant?" She wasn't sure what was joking anymore and what was serious. At least not from him.

"Don't lose what, Alice love?" His voice had dropped, and his eyes were searching her face, trying to figure out what he should do.
She was affecting him more than he thought possible.

At the feel of teeth against her lip she shivered, eyes closing for a moment. "Should I be thankful you didn't just say nice shoes, wanna fuck?"

"And isn't it the best ring? I played that stupid claw machine for hours just to get you that. Only the best for my fake wife," he beamed.
