*Albedo's voice sounds weak, like he's badly injured.* How cruelly fragile this mortal body is...I'd merely begun to enjoy myself, yet it would seem the flames that should have merely caressed my skin only to leave no lasting mark have all but consumed parts of my body, eaten away at flesh I now find vital. I wonder...shall I now experience for ( Read more... )

someone get him a doctor, long winded like crazy, mortality is odd, tl;dr time, too used to immortality, finally understands

[Theta was surprised to find herself a bit afraid when thinking of the German Clank Revolution. Now? She's openly terrified and it shows in her voice.]

Albedo? Albedo! Where are you?

[There's sounds of movement and hisses of pain--injured or not, Theta's getting her leg brace on and her tools in a basket so she can come to as much of a rescue as is possible.]

Does my condition truly scare you so? I brought it upon myself, you know.

I'm at the place this town has taken to call my home, my dear.

[Good, not at any strange phone boxes or such. She doesn't dignify the first half of his statement with a response.]

I'm coming.

[And come she does....as fast as crutches will allow, anyway, hobbling along with her tools in a basket that she has wedged through one of her crutches. He doesn't bother knocking on her door, so she doesn't bother with his.]

*It's his turn to be collapsed on his couch, too weak to even make it properly to the bed. His shirt is gone and his right arm and large parts of his chest are covered in severe burns. As with her last visit, Albedo's 'family' is nowhere to be seen. He seems a little out of it, probably dehydrated.*

[Several things actually spring to mind for him to ask, and yet he's surprised by what he ultimately asks.]

What happened?

I allowed myself entertainment fit for a weapon and it would seem I'm not yet accustomed to mortality.

Who might you have attempted to gain this entertainment from? Certainly not a drone.

Certainly not. The woman that was objecting the lack of amusement to be gained from them.

[Listening to this with rapt fascination, you strange, strange man.]

Ah- ...a break?

[so curious; wants to watch]

Several people have claimed death in this place to be even more fleeting than life.

[quietly] I want to see if it's true.

I've found it frustratingly true for these dolls that believe themselves my family.

[Big brother is pounding on your front door.]

[Theta jumps a bit when someone starts pounding on the door, and a guilty look passes across her face given that she's been being rather affectionate with Albedo. Nonetheless she gets her crutch and gets up to go open the door.]

Hello?

*When Theta opens the door, he shifts to get a better look...then sits up when he sees who's at the door, ignoring the fact that his right arm and entire torso are severely burned.* Come to check up on me, Rubedo?

[Well he definitely wasn't expecting to be greeted by a woman.] Huh? Who're you? I'm here for-

[And he breaks off when he sees Albedo, his expression alternating between horror and anger. He pushes past the woman and storms into the house.]

What the hell did you do?!
