Vergil didn't care who or what complained about how pale he was or how much time he spent in the paranormal studies library; he had work to do and information to find, and so long as those two facts held true, he'd continue flipping through every unfamiliar old manuscript he could find until he either came upon something useful or decided there wasn't anything worthwhile to find there.

Of course, whenever he ever came to the latter conclusion would be the day that he left this miserable school.

He glanced up more out of reflex than genuine interest when the door slammed shut behind a new arrival. Just some girl...

Orihime gasped when she saw the face that looked up at her for a moment. No matter how many people were in the room at the moment, she suddenly felt very alone. With Dante's crazy stalker-brother. It had to be. Dante would never wear his hair like that, would he? Part of Orihime wanted to turn and walk the other way, but the dramatic side of her knew this was the place. The place for a showdown so hopefully there would be an end to this creepy guy's stalking. With a deep breath, she balled her fists up and walked right over to the guy, hoping he wouldn't skin her alive and leave her for Dante to find the next day.

"You," she started, hoping her voice wouldn't freeze in her throat. She gulped. "You're Dante's stalker, aren't you?"

Vergil had turned back to his book after he'd gotten a good look at her, not thinking any more of it; he certainly hadn't expected her to approach him. When she spoke, however, he glanced up at her, eyebrow raised. "I'm his twin. Anything else he's told you was probably just noise you should have ignored."

"I'm not sure I believe that coming from someone who left a woman in his bed," Orihime replied, trying to sound imposing but only really coming across as a mother mildly upset with her disobedient child. "Why would you even do something terrible like that? I'm sure you two have squabbles, but that's just too much, I think." She shook her head, peering at Vergil curiously instead of fearfully, as she might've imagined she would've regarded him.

"Are you lonely? Dante said you eat your friends."
