BBC Glastonbury Coverage - Elbow(?)

Jun 29, 2008 03:11

I caught the end of a clip where someone who I presume to be Guy Garvey of Elbow was singing in front of band and Orchestra, an anthem with motif "throw open the curtains", which may rival the Farm's "All together now"

Cam anyone fill me in on the details?  I can't link the lyric exactly to them, nor has this yet appeared on the BBC website.

I dodn't know what it was but chilledchimp might. She really liked it too and has a better memory for these things than me. I'll ask her.

Chilledchimp doesn't, but I really liked it too. If you find out what the song's called, I'd like to know.

I've just Googled it. It's called One Day Like This, from their fourth album Seldom Seen Kid and is their current single.

Thanks! That one goes on the list.

Not sure why I didn't find it when I hunted but...

Set now at http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2008/artists/elbow/. Hoping it is there, but clever BBC iPlayer doesn't have a fast-forward button
