Mead sounds like a very appropropriate substance, but I suspect I will drive out to a dark location and see what happens.

Yes they are, and I've seen some already when I took my Mum out on Saturday night.We had five in about 15 minutes so it looks like it will be quite good this year.

Excellent - how dark was your location?

We went up onto Butser hill in Hampshire. It was fairly dark for the time of year. But of course there was the orange glow of Portsmouth in the distance. And the three quarter moon. So far from optimal. Nevertheless they were very clear to see, so a clear night tomorrow should provide a good show.
