Some people go into science because it comes easiest to them. Other people go into science simply because they love science. As surprising as this may sound to people who know me well, for most of my life I've been part of the former category. That was an enjoyable, inspiring read! =D

Hmmm... it's hard to imagine a purpose to existence without there being some higher power and even then it's hard to imagine what that purpose could be... in a way, how there could even be purpose. What difference would it make if nothing in the universe had anything to strive toward? If everything were merely existing or were to not exist at all?

Then again, if the purpose is, as you say, "greater than anything anyone could ever imagine," then it certainly makes sense that it has eluded my ruminations hehe.
