Join the club. I honestly think everyone goes through this phase in life sometime. They all are so dead set on doing something, but once they're in college it's like all the parental/lifelong expectations have to be reconsidered. The good thing is that if you know medicine is just not the right thing for you, changing your mind now is a lot less inconvenient and costly compared to dropping out of med school like 6 years from now because you went just to satisfy the parents or something. At that point it would be like major reconsideration of life goals, going back to school, wasting 6 years of an education you were never going to use in any way..Now it's like, okay. Freshman year, so what
