In case any of the authors stop by here, if she has made any money off these stories, she has opened herself up to a copyright infringement lawsuit for accounts, basically the money she has received from publishing them. Also, be sure to fill out the actual copyright infringement form for amazon.

Yea, I just found the stories on Goodreads and started to review them. This is actually the worse case I've seen of this kind of plagiarism (someone making a profit from plagiarized stories). There are usually not this many people who have reviewed the story. This person could get into serious legal trouble if any of the authors s/he stole from decided to sue him/her

I'm confused because it says s/he has other stories, but they aren't being sold anymore. It doesn't look like she was called out on them, so I don't get why she took them down just to post more. You'd think she'd want to milk them for as much money as she could.

But if she was flagged before, I'll be pissed because Amazon should not have let her keep posting.

Also, I can't find anything on the author anywhere. Is anyone else having any luck?

I notified the author, so she knows what's going on, but I can't find an actual link to Samolu Pearl's copy for sale.

Not sure if it was amazon, or she took the books down herself, but the links no longer work and her author profile is gone. :)

Yea, I noticed that too. That's the fastest I've seen Amazon work to remove a plagiarized book. Unfortunately, her goodread pages is still open with the list of all the books she plagiarized. I have no idea how to handle that.

thenifoundfivedollars here. It's good that these stories have been taken down, but without the link to her stories, I think it might be trickier to seek legal action. Yeah, she got her profile deleted. But she's made a profit from others' hard work and had zero punishment. Nothing is stopping her from making another profile and making another quick profit

Yea, I know it's sucks that it was removed so fast that there's no chance for her to get punished for it. But, I don't think any of us expected them to be removed so fast... Amazon has never been this fast in removing plagiarized material. Last time this happened it took at least a month to get Amazon to remove the stuff. That's why I think she may have deleted the stuff herself. The stuff is still listed on her goodreads profile: www . goodreads . com/author/show/7092268.Samolu_Pearl That's all we have now.
