Your new dragon is gorgeous and I'm loving the pictures! How big do they get to be? How long do they live? I can't really have furry pets due to allergies and I'm just now discovering the joys of scaly friends. *g*
They grow 18 to 24 inches (45-60 cm or 1 1/2 ft-2 ft). Pretty big, but OVER half (I'd guestimate 60%) is their tail. Though most scaly friends, when handled from when they're young, can be pretty happy/content/tolerant of being handled, the central bearded dragon (the most common one you will find as a pet) is a VERY happy chappy! They're so inquisitive too. I love that one of the strong recommendations is that their enclosure is positioned somewhere where a lot of stuff happens (so that they can see what their weird humans get up to

:) Name shall be lengthened when I know the gender, yes. Though Suze thought "Castiel" was rather androgynous, so I may go for Castiel anyway! (though Cassandra is the girl name I had picked out)

*teehee* I suppose I sort of feel like a new mother. BABY DRAGON! WOO!! Tuesday's supposed to be 33°C (91°F). Perfect for Cas's first bath! :D
