P-P-PERMISSIONS
So this is an all purpose permissions post. There's several parts to this.
FIRST:
HOMESTUCK TEXT.
As you are probably aware, Homestuck characters tend to use somewhat obnoxious font in their text entries and often use annoying typing quirks. David's quirk isn't so difficult, he just doesn't use any punctuation or caps; but his actual text color is kind of a pain. If for whatever reason you don't want to see that color, please just say so here, and David will use voice and video posts with your character (or if absolutely necessary, drop the colored monospace courier; though probably not his disdain for punctuation)
Homestuck is also a canon a lot of people have serious, serious problems with. If for WHATEVER reason you don't want David to tag you at all, ever, just say so here. Comments are screened, and I don't judge - it's a ridiculous, idiotic canon, so if you don't want stupid font stupid references and stupid memes up in your grill, just say so and I will leave you alone.
SECOND: FOURTH WALLING/CANON PUNCTURING
Homestuck is a canon that routinely references other stupid pop culture things; furthermore, this particular Dave is from a House of Leaves crossover fanfic, which in itself is all about kicking down the fourth wall. This bothers people, and their characters.
David, being from Earth, has general pop culture knowledge. His main areas of expertise are fantasy, horror (especially postmodernist and Lovecraftian horror), postmodernism, renaissance and medieval literature. Thanks to his friends, he also knows terrible movies, choose your own adventure books, and some video games (in his case, RPGs and adventure games, particularly indie games).
Thus, IS IT OR IS IT NOT OKAY IF FOURTHWALLING HAPPENS. Again, no judgement if you don't want it.
FINALLY! REVERSE PERMISSIONS - David is bonded to a horrifying spacial rape from beyond space who talks to him in his head. If this is likely to ping your character, please let me know so we can talk about how he will wig them out.
