The university Palin attended is in my hometown; my father used to teach there, I took classes there, and many of my friends graduated from there. I can assure you that her journalism degree is barely worth the paper it's printed on. The U of I is an excellent school for some subjects . . . but "Journalism and Mass Media" is not one of them. (In fact, my boyfriend's sister graduated from the same program--modulo twenty years, of course--and to describe her as intellectually underdeveloped would be the nice way of putting it.)

This is not to say that Palin is stupid, but I don't think your concerns about her journalism degree influencing her decisions need be so serious.

Thank you. That's a minor point, and hardly alters the fact that a person who has been in politics for more than twenty years certainly cannot be naive about the way the Murdoch organization does things.

Quite true, and I think anyone who's been, well, alive, for the past ten years or so could hardly be unaware of Murdoch's unsavory nature.
