Wow - quite a spank. Too bad they were pressured to eliminate controversy. When scientists are forced into a a straight line, their views corrupted, everyone flounders in the dark.

Unfortunately, I've already seen him being smeared in the press and in the halls of academe. It's too bad, but whistle-blowers are only popular with the press and certain others in power and fashion when they blow the whistle on other people and not them.

The world really is going to shit.

May I reprint this letter of resignation on my blog? The man speaks as scientists of the generation before mine once spoke, and shows the character I was raised to expect, not merely from them, but from all honest men.

That was exactly my point - I reprinted it from someone else's Facebook entry. It is necessary to try and make it go viral. That is what I meant by duty.
