It's Goldman Sach's speculation in oil futures which has the economy in a strangle-hold today. 78% of oil futures are held by people who can't take delivery. They need to have the oil bubble burst all over them. There is enough oil for prices to drop - only speculation is keeping the price so high. Goldman Sachs doesn't need Trillions in mortgage money, too.

Once again, I am thankful for my stomach medications. Is it any better there? Are there any vacancies nearby? I can't handle much more of the stupidity.

Well, it's part of planet Earth - alongside with occasional heroism, genius, beauty and goodness. We'll just have to be "tired and tolerant", as GKC had God Himself tell us. (Incidentally, it so happens that the three people who responded to this article are three living reminders of just how fine human beings can get.)
