Quoted from a Catholic source:

Fr. Shirilla was relieved of his post in 1993 when he was identified as a serial child molester, who favored young altar boys, going back more than 20 years. He never quite lost favor with Cardinal Maida, however, and was secretly re-assigned seven years later as pastor of a parish in the Diocese of Gaylord, Michigan

The US Catholic Church, once a world leader, is being torn to pieces by the behaviour of homosexual clergy, reaching all the way up to Cardinal rank. At least we can get some laughs out of it. Laugh, clown, laugh...

Oh, I don't know. The Church has survived worse ecclesiastical criminality than this. "The gates of Hell" have never quite prevailed. But this sort of thing ruins so many lives - I have known at least two cases of men whose lives were ruined, literally ruined, by teen-age relationships with priests.

From a report on Catholic priests arrested for "cruising" in toilets and public parks:

Two weeks before the Cincinnati priest’s arrest in Triangle Park, Fr. Wladyslaw Marczynski, 42, was sentenced to ten days of community service for obscene conduct. The Michigan priest was arrested in a Traverse City park for engaging in a sexual act with another man. Fr. Marczynski was a pastor in the Diocese of Gaylord, Michigan.
