*hugs you close to him and noddles* That might work... although I have a feeling I need to find the inner peace, calm and balance I'm still lacking before I really could work on these things. I'm still far too stressed, far too unhappy, far too... well, out of balance.
I've found that it's all connected, really. I think what (finally) worked for me is that I stopped worrying about forcing it, just letting things work out, finding the happiness in the moment, and counting my blessings.
These little happinesses just seem to grow exponentially.
I'm not saying everything is perfect. It's never, ever that easy. ;) Life is always full of ups and downs, and that's perfectly ok. Find the things that make you happy, little things that don't really take much work.
They're baby steps on the road to understanding and happiness. But who said we should have to take giant leaps? The point is, to keep moving forward, little by little, and one day you'll wake up one morning and suddenly realize that you're there. :)
It really is. It may not be immediate -- so many in our culture want that instant gratification -- but it is definitely achievable given time and effort.
Just need to be willing to see the happy things in each moment.
I really think most of us already know these things, too. Day-to-day, it's just so easy to forget. I guess we all need a gentle reminder now and again. :)
It really can be, hun. *hug* Still, that you are willing to admit this is beautiful. Looking honestly at one's own self is a big step for most people.
Just know that it's ok to cry and vent when we need to; accept those feelings so we can get on with living. Holding them inside and dwelling on them does no good; trust me, I know....
Life isn't always going to be peachy, but as long as we are willing to look inside and out, as long as we are willing to get back up and keep trying and learning and growing, that's what leads to happiness. *hug*

Patience is key. Especially with yourself. :)
