It's been a tough week. A very good friend was in hospital and I spend most of the week at St Thomas's sadly no Judoon around, just providing friendship, magazines, snacks, essential toiletries, hugs and an unflappable and sensible version of me.  I'm now behind at work and only just got an application in for a fellowship that I would just about

I have only vague memories of the Richard Burton version of the film, so I'm unfamiliar with the story, but it all sounds rather bleak and tense even with the DT-shaped distraction. I'm sorry that it's affected you so strongly, particularly since it's been such a challenging week for you

I am very lucky indeed and only found out about it at the last minute. My brain is already working in it's clever way to filter out the negative and leave the positive. And Emma got released from hospital today so it's all good. Thanks for the good wishes.

Emma got released this morning so she's definitely on the mend. And thank you for the compliment, friends and family are so important and I was lucky that work were understanding when I dashed off.
