I have only vague memories of the Richard Burton version of the film, so I'm unfamiliar with the story, but it all sounds rather bleak and tense even with the DT-shaped distraction. I'm sorry that it's affected you so strongly, particularly since it's been such a challenging week for you

Hugs are gratefully received - thank you. There are certainly lighter moments and I'm sure my view of the play will be more balanced tomorrow. It's very powerful.

I'm sorry you've had such a tiring week...

But how lucky you are to have seen DT in LBiA - I'm more than a bit green with envy! I'd love to see more of his stage work - but I'm sorry it left you feeling bleak. I hope your friend is better soon...

I am very lucky indeed and only found out about it at the last minute. My brain is already working in it's clever way to filter out the negative and leave the positive. And Emma got released from hospital today so it's all good. Thanks for the good wishes.

I'm sorry your friend was in hospital. It was very good of you to be so supportive and anyone with a supportive friend like that is fortunate in one way at least.

Emma got released this morning so she's definitely on the mend. And thank you for the compliment, friends and family are so important and I was lucky that work were understanding when I dashed off.
