I was hugely excited to attend the 24 hour plays. The cast were not revealed until the last minute, the plays written overnight and rehearsals begun and ended on Sunday. I arrived with Poly and Lisa to a delightful champagne reception and spent the next 20 minutes engrossed in discussion of the programme and the cast.

sounds like a hell of a night out hon. Guess it was worth that rather hefty ticket price then?

It was worth every penny. And I probably got my money's worth with the amount of champagne I put away at the party ;)

Sounds like mad fun. I heard Ben Daniels had agreed to participate, but pulled out at short notice because he was grieving.

There were loads of rumours, the cast changes right up until the Saturday. Sienna Miller dropped out and David Tennant and Benedict Cumberbatch were strongly rumoured at one point. It was a shame Ben couldn't make it - I would have liked to see him on stage.

Yeah I heard the DT rumours...

We may get our wish re. Ben on stage (I too long to see him live) - he's left Law & Order: UK to pursue other projects, and given how much stage work he's already done in his career, I can't believe he won't be back on stage soon. You know he's on Twitter? @bendanielsss is the genuine article!
