I am hoping that this time of peace lasts. Good, summer weather and harmless curses are infinitely preferrable to what havoc this City can wreak.

Yes, agreed. I don't think we'll be this lucky for long, though. Call me a pessimist, but I've seen enough of this city to suspect that peace is only ever present in the lulls between truly horrendous curses. We can always hope, however!
An impressive male African lion, yes. He only ever glowered, though--if he was interested in snacking, his restraint was admirable.

Well, I'm afraid of animals myself, but . . . I pity the koi.
