So Saturday, I did what I said I was going to do and that was take myself to Six Flags St. Louis. For the most part, it was very exciting for me being there all by myself. I had a great time, and found a new favorite ride in the process. So here's how it went.
As usual, my first stop was Batman the Ride. I ended up getting on this one three times in the day. I swear it gets better everytime I'm on it. After my first go, I was on this interesting superhero kick, so I made my way up to the ride that was named after my favorite super hero...Superman: Tower or Power. This is my new favorite ride. I swear I never got such an adreneline rush after this one. This ride is an enormous 230 ft. tower that takes you up to exactly that height (I swear the view from up there is amazing, but don't get too used to it), and drops you right back down at 70 MPH (and the best part is you never really see it coming until it's too late)! I ended up on this one three times as well. Ride number 3 was the Screaming Eagle...wasn't too bad of a wait time and I was able to snag the front row. Ride number 4 was their newest attraction, Tony Hawk's Big Spin. Not a bad ride, but not too great of a thrill especially for a wait that took about 45 minutes. I was a bit lucky to get on this one. The ride broke down during the wait (in fact it broke down three times that day). I headed up Xcalibur next. Afterwards, my head was ringing a little so I took in one of the shows at Miss Kitty's Saloon. I've always wanted to check out one of those shows everytime I came there, but no one I was with was interested, so it was good that I was by myself. The show as great. I was smiling all through the end...and truth be told, I can't resist a 19th century saloon girl, and the girl playing Miss Kitty was smokin'! Well, afterwards, I headed up Mr. Freeze, which had virtually no line also. When I got off, it was feeling a little hot, and I thought to myself "I need to get a little wet." So I went on the Tidal Wave to give myself a splashdown of sorts. I opted to stay off the bridge because I didn't want to get too wet for that day. Then I walked over to Superman to get dried off. Then I walked around the park some more before I headed up to The Boss for another thrill. I swear most of the rides had virtually no lines, which was good because that mean virtually no wait times. After I got off The Boss, I had pratically ridden all the rides I wanted to ride so I decided to go for seconds. Everyting was going until around 18:50 after I got off Thunder River when the sky started to get all grey...that's when I knew something was up. A few seconds later...the rain comes...just as I was heading up the ramp to Batman The Ride for ride number 3. That round didn't last too long and when I got on the ride it actually stopped to a very light drizzle. But as I got off and rushed my tail up to Superman, it started to pick back up and by the time I reached Superman, they shut down the ride. The sky started to get even greyer as the rain got even heavier. Needless to say, my day of fun was over at this point, so I cut my losses and headed back to the Vixen to heads for home. Despite getting more wet than I wanted, I still had such a wonderful time there, so it wasn't a total loss. Next time I plan a trip to Six Flags (which I'm going to shoot for either July or August) I'm planning on a day that calls for no rain period. That should save some trouble at least. Oh, and I might want to invest in some swimwear for Hurricane Harbor too. Never been in there before and I've been dying to do so, so next time I go, I'll take along something to swim in for Hurricane Harbor.
Pictures will come later as soon as my computerless self finds a way to get them uploaded. I have to get the film in the disposable camera I bought developed. Hope they come out okay. Anyways, that's how the day went. I promise to get those pictures up as fast as I can...but I can only do so much. So, later. Til next time!!! ^_^
