For me, I don't have a choice. There's no other cable internet provider in the area and I can't use DSL here either for rhe reasons I entered. I mean, if there's another option available that I'm unaware of, please tell me.

Um...well...okay I don't know what's available for your area, but Charter is horrid!

Uh, when I said "the area", I meant the entire St. Louis area. Charter owns the cable service for the entire St. Louis metro. So when you leave Charter, and you're trying to look for an alternate cable provider, you're SOL! You'll have no choice but to stick with the problematic DSL.
