This is an interesting list. I really benefited from David Lynch's book Catching the Big Fish.

He's a cool guy. When we saw him live the best part was that he was oblivious to how eccentric he was.

Watched a few interview clips on Youtube after I clicked on your link. It occurs to me that he consistently points not to films but past them. I can't think of another director who does that as much.

Watching him speak was very calming. He describes in Catching the Big Fish how he meditates every morning and before most public appearances. I can feel pretty self-conscious, and I wish I could be as comfortable with my intuitive gestures and creative impulses.

I guess he's my hero in a way. Started re-watching the Twin Peaks series recently. My first time since when I was a kid, and I'm struck by how focused and open the FBI agent is. Very professional, yet affectionate toward his quirky community.

Someday I'll have time to get into "Twin Peaks." I have a friend who has the entire run on DVD or his computer or something, so I can't justify spending any money when I can borrow it from him, but then I have to remember to borrow it!
