It falls to me now, to deliver the bad news. Rosalyne [Rose] S. Montgomery recently died from a heart attack. She was a local [San Francisco] activist for Transgender issues. Now I remember where she's from.

When I was in the peer counselling in Portland, I worked with PlanetOut and met at the Gazebo (oddly, under this screen name).

I wonder how her position in the community can be made up for...

We lived in the same apartment for a very short time when I first moved to SF over ten years ago. She was one of those rare people who seemed to have no how idea how she might BEGIN to have a negative thought about another person, let alone think she'd have a reason to. I lost touch with Rose a few years back, drifting apart as distant friends so often do... I didn't know she'd past until I found your post just now.

She'll be missed...

I think I'm going to curl into a corner for awhile...
