I'm combining my tags from upendedurn (bet you thought I forgot, ha! ...except you're on vacation) and missbabyblue into the unholy meme of:

Ten Disturbing Songs I'd So Totally Make Out To
(Not to be confused with disturbing songs that make me want to make out.)
  • Climbing Up The Walls by Radiohead
  • Can't You Trip Like I Do by Crystal Method & Filter
  • Read more... )

But I actually didn't sacrifice any babies in the making of this list. Disappointing, I know.

Hmm... I have most of those. Make out songs? I don't know. Some, certainly. I never thought about it, actually.

They all contain transmuted or outright lust/desire. I can hear it and given the chance could probably project it. Mmmsexy!

See, when I here 'Don't Drink the Water' I think about political and social upheaval from immigrants and the brutal revenge that can follow. Somehow, less than sexy.

Everything else I've heard on that list is a bit more intrapersonal, more prime for makeout music... albeit dark and sinister makeout music. ;)

PS: 'sacrificing babies'... classic!

"Don't Drink the Water" is definitely the iffiest of the bunch, and gets in only on the end. I might just replace it with something else. Hrm.

Some people think kinky IS disturbing. At the bottom of the "disturbance" list is stuff like Atom Bomb and Lovesong as rendered by SNC. At the top is stuff like Change and Climbing the Walls and Lullaby. Definitely a scale there.

But c'mon, at least some of the songs involve implied murder!

I did think you'd forgotten! I love what you've done with the place!

And I'm back now. For a week.
