Handwriting analysis = pseudoscience

The news story that made my day (and this one with a picture) -- doodles found on Tony Blair's desk were analyzed by psychologists and handwriting experts only to turn out to belong to Bill Gates. Best quote:

Personally, I think they were just trying to bash Blair. I mean, the above statements could apply to me as well...except the man part. Yeah, not the man part.

It would be more interesting if the study was done blind -- ie, I give this to the experts and not tell them who we think it came from, then we collate the results. That would be much more convincing. But I'm not sure that it was. I wonder how I could find out. I just refuse to recognize it if it wasn't a blind study. Maybe it was. Maybe I'm just being cynical.
