A new update on our apiary progress: video of 'installing' the package of bees in their new home. So far they are doing great - will be updating again soon with photos and more information! :)

That was so cool! I'm so very happy (and amazed!) you didn't get stung, but I guess if you're not hurting them or scaring them it's not likely. You're a lot braver than I though!

It was a bit intimidating at first, especially all the bees around your head, but after I realized they were just confused and not like an organized unit attack squad it was easy to relax. :)

I thought this was fascinating! I don't think I'd have the nerve to do that, to be honest, but it was very interesting to watch. :)

It really wasn't scary once you were around them for awhile - a bit intimidating at first but they weren't acting aggressive or anything, so it didn't take nearly so much bravery as it probably looks like it did. :)
