Introduction

After taking a nearly 3 month icon hiatus (! wasn't planned on my part), I am happy (perhaps not "proud") to present "new" icons! (actually, these are not "new," but were made sometime last year, probably around June 2007 :D) and tons of new artwork (and this really IS new).

I've been trying to decide my favourite picture that you've done on PS and it's pretty hard. But, I think my favourite is Narcissa. I just love her make-up, the way you've coloured her, the way you have done her hair. It's all just so pretty! You can see though, how you've progressed! Even though I don't think the first Tonks picture is bad, you can see how the second Tonks picture differs. :) Go you! :D So much pretty!

And the icons? Hmph, well, it's going to be very hard to choose some, I tell you.

So, I'm taking 2,4 and 51 from XF batch (I already have a handful from the previews all those months ago :) )

I'm going to take a few HP ones and a few House ones :D These are very pretty indeed! :D

Wow, I LOVE the Narcissa portrait. You can see how much you've improved in this. It's really, really beautiful, both versions...I don't know what else to say. Wow.

EEE! So glad you like Narcissa! I never thought in a million years I would paint Narcissa, but when I saw this beautiful photograph of a certain blonde actress, I thought, NARCISSA!

Actually, I originally thought Luna, but as I was painting I decided she was more Narcissa :D

I should have a contest to see who can guess what the reference pictures of all of the people here are from, i.e. Tonks (both versions) and Narcissa. :D Hint, they're actresses :D

A blonde actress hmm...the only one coming to mind right now is Scarlett Johansson. :P I have no idea who Tonks could be.

She looks way too mature for Luna. Narcissa is a great choice. :) Actually I thought GA would have made a great Narcissa, when she was blonde, but sadly they didn't cast her.

Hehehe, not Scarlet Johansson, although I had thought about using her for one of my drawings, and didn't end up using her. It's actually Naomi Watts. Yeah, doesn't look like her, does it? :D

Originally I had her face done in a very childish way, almost full of wonder, but then I realized that the face works much better for someone more mature, and very elegant, and I immediately thought Narcissa :D

YES! GA would have been perfect for Narcissa, although I think GA would also be too...umm...wholesome? I don't know. Narcissa is someone who follows her husband in all things, including allegiance to the Dark Lord, even though she is a Death Eater, and I can't ever imagine GA as a character who is like that.

I actually really like your first tonks pic, even if I'm not sure it conveys what you want.

New XF icons! Woo! I need to stock up to have enough for squeeage posts/comments in July!

Wow, so many people said they liked the first Tonks pic. I guess there is a certain wildness about her that is quite appropriate. I could have done much better with the technique, though.

Yay! God, I am so behind on my projects, because I wanted to work on these paintings. I have a t-shirt I've been planning to make before the July premiere of the movie, and I'm not on top of that! ARG.

you art is so awesome to stare at! it really inspires me to do more sketching etc. and I love the second version of that girl's eye makeup. it's so exotic and looks like something I would do in RL. :D

as far as the XF icons? OH PRETTY! I will be taking 2-4 and 9.

Thank you thank you! I would *love* to see you in that make-up! It's splashes of green and orange with blue. I would love to see that on you, and it would be such pretty stage make-up!

Glad you like #2-4! I was going for a sense of silence in the icons, because they were inside a jail. *sigh* I've been trying to do all of this stuff with sound interpretation in icons, which is pretty damn crazy on my part. *hugs*

I"ve been wanting to do that sepia tone in icons for quite a while, and I wanted to reserve it for a "classic M/S icon", and I thought that was it :D

Whoa, where did my response go? It disappeared! Anyways, I said that I'm glad you like the coloring in #10 because I was reserving that sepia tone for a very special moment in XF icons. I wanted to wait for a "classic" M/S scene to use it.
