The X-Files: 3x04 - Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Harry Potter: GOF (Part 11), and House M.D.

Dec 18, 2007 00:23

The long-awaited part 2 of The X-Files: Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose is finally here! My apologies, even though I promised I will post weekly episodic additions to my Massive Nine Season Iconage of The X-Files, it just isn't close to happening this time of year. Firstly, my applications to grad school is a major deterrent to posting icons ( ( Read more... )

God, I'll never understand how you can always be so busy, yet take the time to do the side-projects that you do. I always admire your creativity, but even more than that, your energy and determination. Unlike me, it seems that (no matter how long it might take) you always deliver on what you say you'll do.

The site, as usual, looks great (and I agree, eBay is delightful crack), and so do the icons. Too much lovely to choose from! CBFR is a fantastic episode, and a favorite of just about everyone, so it's no surprise I like these so much. I also agree that OotP is basically total visual eye candy, and though it's been forever and a day since I last iconned HP, seeing the movie made me want to try again. Whenever I can pick up the DVD, maybe I'll give it a shot...

I'm looking very much forward to the vidding awards (wish I were even eligible, but at this rate who knows when I'll even be able make my first vid by that time), and what there will be to see. :)

If I don't hold myself to those deadlines...I might never finish them. It's probably really pessimistic thinking, and people have told me that I probably need to change my mindsets because it's unhealthy...but I think it's a constructive way to look at life. I feel...we can die at any point. And if I don't make promises to myself, that second right before I die...I might really, really regret not doing anything ( ... )

Haha, I have the same approach to life (which drives my mother crazy), I suppose I've just got... less impressive goals. I think the morbidity of this, at least for me, comes from my proximity to death, which has already been closer than with the average person (and especially now, thanks to forensics). I think it's so great that you get so much out of what you do, though. It's probably just a bonus that we all enjoy these things too. :)

I can only imagine how frustrating things like clip theft and all that must be. I'm definitely going to watermark everything I rip; I simply have to decide on what with. And then, y'know, actually start vidding. Feh.

Who says your goals are less impressive? I think I'm the one here who has less impressive goals...iconing, graphics, etc. But it's the fact that I need to keep myself busy.

Where are you studying forensics again? I will be applying to San Diego State University if I do not get into UCLA's school of Public Health. Hell, I'd rather go to San Diego than UC Berkeley. San Diego is so pretty!

By the way, I meant to ask you about this: you went to Comic Con, right? A friend and I are thinking about going to Comic Con next year, but it falls during the XF 2 release! So...should we go? How many days do you generally go to to get the experience? Is it worth going? Etc. Etc.

1. Alan Rickman is sexy at any age.

2. i think i might possibly be able to say that this is my favourite batch so far of your XF icons. i am going to save so, so many.

3. i'd be happy to volunteer to proofread things if you don't get any better offers.

I think Alan Rickman has become sexier. Scruffy or unscruffy? I actually prefer scruffy. Although, he has two unscruffy incarnations that are just lovable: Snape and Angel Michael from Dogma. God, I need to watch Dogma again. In fact, I might watch it right now.

2. i think i might possibly be able to say that this is my favourite batch so far of your XF icons. i am going to save so, so many.

Yay! I'm truly happy with this batch. I say that so rarely with my icons, but this batch I'm really, really quite happy with. God, my next batch is going to feel like such a letdown compared to this one.

3. i'd be happy to volunteer to proofread things if you don't get any better offers.Thank you, again, for proofreading my Harvard and Yale papers. I didn't get a chance to tell you this yet, but I've revised my paper according to your suggestions, and it sounds and flows much, much better. In fact, I go back to my original paper and cringe. Very very much. Thank you ( ... )

Yay! I'm so glad. I don't think I'll have more essays to be proofread until maybe late January, so I'll definitely rein in your help once again at around that time! Unless their essay requirement is the exact same as one of the other colleges, which, in that case, I'll just spare you :)

Wow, I was afraid I might be ridiculed and mocked for my mouse-drawn fox! YAY! I'm so glad you find it appealing. It's just one of those things where I'm staring at the icon and thinking, "you know, if that circle is a belly, it could be a reclining fox!" It's totally nuts, totally crazy, and I go ahead and do it because I'm all about taking risks :D *very, very sarcastic*

I was afraid that 51-54 might be too pink or too red or something, and I'm very, very glad you like it!

Yay for taking #16! I actually forgot I made this icon, and looking back at it I thought, "whoa, I was pretty good there :D"

Arghh, so much pretty in this post! Lots and lots of pretty.

I adore this XF batch so much, there are so many awesome icons that it's so difficult to decide which ones I want to take. Damn LJ for keeping me to such a tight limit.
The icons from 51-54 are so different. I'm taking #51. I just love the bright pink colour and the crop. I love it.
The icons from 55-64 are so goooood. I love how bright you managed to get the red. I also love what you've done with the actual Fox. Very creative. I'm taking #64 because it's so damn good :)

Your House ones are very pretty too. I miss making House icons, I seem to be neglecting this fandom too much in the art department. But, It's because the new fandom I am into has taken hold of me by the throat and refuses to let go until I've iconed it to death. New fandoms hmm, who needs 'em?

House Season 4 is so awesome isn't it? There has been so much fun in this series. There are so many favourite episodes of mine in season 4.

I didn't even know Alan Rickman was 60...*is shocked*

HELLO YOU! *does the waffle chicken dance* YAY! I'm so glad you like these icons. It's major confirmation when you like the icons. You're my confirmer and validator. Hahaha, Mozilla Firefox doesn't recognize those words, but they're mine and they're important!

I actually thought about not even posting those, because I thought the reddish pink color was kind of ugly! But then, I loved my little "special wisdom" text on it, because I have no clue where I got that from. It's just one of those things that "come to me" when I'm iconing.

I'm taking #64 because it's so damn good :)
WHA? You're taking that one! Surprised! Because that was one of my "gosh, this sounds like a good idea, making part of Mulder look like a fox! It's going to be silly, and everyone who looks at it will think I'm nutty!" icons. Hahaha, I'm very, very glad you like it that much ( ... )

*joins in the chair waffle dance* yey lol I haven't done THAT in a while :)

Aww, really? lol I didn't realise my opinion was so highly regarded *blushes and shuffles feet*
Your Firefox checks your spelling? That's kinda cool :) But yes, having your own words are good :) hehe.

Well, I find those icons different. Also, at the moment I'm having a thing for big and bright.

Yeah, it's totally cool, plus it saves all of the windows/tabs you have open if you close out of them a certain way. Totally useful for me, because I always have to have my 30-something windows open every single time I go online. So it automatically opens everything to where I was the last time I was there (i.e. forum pages, pages in a fanfic, etc) whenever I open my browser. Really, really awesome.

It's Firefox Version 2.0. It took me forever to figure out what it was that did that, because I had to reinstall the browser on another computer and it didn't do the same thing. Turns out I upgraded to Firefox 2.0 without really thinking about it :D

*grins* I have 110 icon spaces *does little dance* I want Lj to let you have moreee. Once you hit that point where you can't have anymore it's horrible. You never know too, Santa might bring ( ... )

Taking #74 and 76, thanks so much, gorgeous work.

*hopes you will include a Barty Crouch jr. icon in one of your final GoF batches* ;)

WEE! You took one of my first "What would Scully do?" icons! YES! And #76 was one of the icons I really like, but wasn't sure if anyone else would like. Very, very happy, you've made me!

*hugs* Sorry, I haven't been commenting much in your journal. I hope you're doing well! And I definitely have taken your Barty Crouch Jr. icon request to heart because I DEFINITELY will be iconning him when I get to him in my GOF batches! I'm not even close to the end of GOF right now...*sigh*

How could anyone not like it? It's just so gorgeous.

That's ok about the commenting, a lot of my posts are about fandoms you've probably never heard of ;) I look forward to the Barty icons :D

Barty, unfortunately, isn't coming up any time soon in the movie! I'm only at the First Task. Barty comes in in the beginning briefly (sadly, I did not icon him then), and then he appears at the end. The very, very end. Oh wait, there's also the court scene. Okay, when I get to the court scene, I'll be sure to make copious icons for you!
