That is beyond amazing. I adore the colours that you've used for the sky. Seriously, it's GORGEOUS. You and your skillz rock the planet :)

Oh, that's fantastic. LOVE the whales (and so would Reyes)! Maybe Mulder's is the person Scully's looking at - so he's in the painting but not in it?

YES YES YES!! Oh my god, now you made this painting totally make sense. Scully's not surprised by the whales, but she's surprised at seeing Mulder there. YES, that TOTALLY MAKES SENSE. OH MY GOD. YOU MADE THIS WORK.

This is absolutely wonderful. I love the background ♥ it's rare of me to love a background so much. Astonishing job!

Thank you! I normally hate painting backgrounds, because to me, they're sort of...not part of the story. I paint portraits, so the story is in the face, the eyes, the incline of the head, the set of the jaw, etc. But in this painting, it's EVERYTHING, so the background IS part of the story. And that's what made it REALLY damn difficult, because I'm not a background painter AT ALL.

Wow, this is gorgeous <3 The colors are so soft and dreamy, I love the overall vibe it gives in combination with the birds and whales. And I enjoyed reading how you worked it all out :)
