Tonight I made soup. Real soup technique? As far as I'm concerned, yours sounds like real soup technique to me :) Such is the magic of soup, after all! I didn't mention Everything Soup because, well, it's different every time and has no recipe other than what you say. But is still good :-9

One of my favourite soups is a good winter one... saute slowly some onion+garlic, add broccoli + cauliflower + a few other odd veg if you like (not too many others), add some stock, then at the end add a tin of evaporated milk and some light cheese. :D

Mmm, sounds like Generic Vegetable only creamier and with cheese, which of course makes everything better! I will definitely have to try that variation -- I like to sprinkle parmesan cheese on top or sometimes add a dollop of pesto, but putting cheese into the soup itself could be good too.

How much soup do those recipes make? (bearing in mind that I probably eat twice as much as a 'normal' person).

um... lots! With the recipe above, we ate a reasonable-sized bowl each and then I froze twice as much again. So probably serves at least six normal people, or maybe three of you :)
