My trip to the states went pretty well, and my sister-in-law's family is much nicer than perhaps my tweets made it seem. Still, I am totally in awe of the scale of the wedding she's planning, and that is partially what makes me somewhat uncomfortable. Sometimes we have to be kind to others at the expense of our own emotions. It's trying but necessary. As long as we then take the time to be kind to ourselves later :) x

Wow, sounds like you've been through the emotional wrangler, both good and bad but come through it as strong as ever.
Your mum is so lovely, and stunning too. A really charming lady. I was so pleased to meet her. I hope her new BF does treat her well.
