Dear Bacteria in my Belly,

The party which is currently underway is not only unappreciated by the rest of the organism, but it is causing a severe nuisance and is anti-social. Cease and disist at once.

Irritated,

Phone sex! *grin* now you've MY attention.

speaking of telephones (see my beautiful segue), I have grand hopes that you will be on skype at some point when everyone is over there. Hell, I might even go see if I can pick up a cheap webcam for that (maybe. It would probably entail busing). Then I can PRETEND that I came over the ocean to visit, without having to sleep on the dining table.

also, how did you insert those lovely lines between your letters?

also also, I initially thought that by Tube Buskers you meant Test Tubes and was VERY INTRIGUED.

Even better - I think I may have my webcam working correctly now. Amazing what upgrading the driver will do! I'm sure we can organise something while the horde is here for you. ;)

The lines are done by using the code <*hr*> (take out the asterisks)

Hooray for "Wind Up Bird Chronicle". You should also check out "Kafka on the Shore".

I've had that one recommended at various points, but I'm not sure how I'm getting on with the style to be honest. It's a bit more sparse than what I usually read. Besides, not sure I can do more than one of these things at a time. Ooof are they thick.

Kafka is more approachable than Wind Up Bird. Though I'm not Japanese enough to understand the last 50 pages of it. I was able to finish it about a week.

Sorry, but the way you've written this entry made me laugh!

Goodbye,
Tee-hee! I do doubleplus<3 Murakami! Huzzah!

I also recommend Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World for sheer happy fun times! But yes, not at the same time! Too much murakami will make the head go bzonk!

Hello,
Monkey

Hard Boiled Wonderland eh? The title alone is intriguing. But you're right, Murakami is best in small doses, preferrably far apart.

Heh. "Hard Boiled Wonderland and The End of The World" is actually all one title. Half the chapters are gangster noir style fiction, while half of them are a spiritually vague tale of a town at the end of the world. It switches back and forth between the two.

Until the last bit, when they become the same story.

Oh, god, do I love Murakami.
