Yeah! They are pretty safe for the crowd :p Nothing is going to get past those barriers...I'm sure by design they'll be safe for the drivers too, or there will be additional shielding in front of the barriers.
Not too late really, cars will only start running on the track on Friday...so there's quite a bit of time left :)

Hey, any more news on a meetup for LJ F1ers? Turns out my Aus cellphone doesn't work here so I've got a Singapore SIM card now, but I have no idea what the number is, so I can't give you a number to get hold of me on if something is still going ahead!
