I did the same too, I'm not using the Cisco/Linksys adapter now.

The issue is only with the adaptors shipped in India, the 110v ones that they ship in the USA are much sturdier. I should know, because being the lazy guy, I just used my 220v->110v convertor with the 110v unit that I got (my router was bought in the USA) and it has survived just about everything the KEB has thrown at it. :)
But I should get a non-linksys spare anyway. What did you buy, where, and how much? What rating? The original is 1.5 amp!

Maxcon, Jayanagar 4th Block (the shop right next to Book Paradise), Rs.200 and 12V, 1A. That was the original blown adapter config too.

unfortunately it's $5-20 more to get the linux version, if you can even find it (like, newegg has it, but that's pretty much it).
