And, Emily's from Madeleine L'Engle's "The Young Unicorns", which is my favoritest of all the L'Engles as I find it as fun as I did when I was wee, without it becoming offensive as well.
Thanks so much!

Oz's silences were a million little smiles and a million little nods, and Emily picked up on all of them. They were like music; the rests were as important as the notes. Otherwise there was nothing but cacophony.
Emily was not a fan of cacophony. But she was quickly becoming a very big fan of Oz.
That was my favorite part, but the whole story was wonderful, simply breathtaking.
Thank you for writing and sharing it.

"The Young Unicorns" is a YA book, and a really fun one to boot. It's one of the few L'Engle books that I enjoy as much as an adult-ish-type-person as I did as a wee reader. I am kind of in love with Emily as character, and will keep writing fic with her despite no one knowing her but maybe five people on my flist.
*coughs*
I'm totally okay with that. Hee.
Thanks so much!

I've read this like seven times already, and it's just so *good*, plain and lovely and straightforward, like Emily, and I love it and you and thank you so much!

Well, as long as you know one of them, it's okay.
Emily is totally my kidlit girlfriend. I do not actually know anyone who knows of Emily and doesn't love her. Hee.
I'm so glad you liked.
*hugs lots*
