Why can't we just celebrate the crazy? Why do we have to rank it?

Feb 26, 2011 10:56

Things are crazy lately. Just- crazy. CRAZY.

*hands*

Stuff of ungoodness is going on both with my family and my job, so, as at all times when serious thought is necessary, I turn instead to fandom.

MY THOUGHTS ON FANDOM, IN BRIEF:

Amazing Race and Survivor )

tv: amazing race, tv: community, tv: top chef, tv: fringe, tv: survivor

If they get rid of Amanda and Kris it's, like, bromances hangin' out, kickass parent/child match-ups, and adorable siblings. I AM IN FOR THIS.

I don't even care that they basically cannibalized three seasons and ignored the rest, because A+ LIFESTYLE CHOICES, RACE.

Everything about Carla is awesome. EVERYTHING. Here are some of her modeling shots from way back when. HOW FUCKING GORGEOUS IS SHE?!

... er, I may be hopeless when it comes to Carla. Every time she's in the bottom, I get all soppy just THINKING that she might get eliminated this season.

--Y HALO THAR CARLA. *___*

I am seriously searching for spoilers so that if I can't have Carla staying, I am PREPARED. I am THAT INVESTED.

It took a week. :(

1. Carla is the best. She has to win. She wins all the time anyway. She is win. And I strongly urge you to follow the link a couple comments above of her modeling shots.

2. I love Community. And I love Brita. I find that she just doesn't get a lot of win moments in the show, much like Pierce. I like how the show writers have just junked the OTPness of Brita/Jeff that I felt a lot last season and shown them as a couple who are attracted to each other, but are absolutely not at all good in a relationship. This refocusing, however, I feel has left the writers stymied as to what Brita's arc is. My favorite Brita moments this season have been where they let Brita's open heart and social consciousness take her to serio-comic levels, like with the gnome waiter (His name was KYLE!) or when they let her be a good friend, like in the LeVar Burton episode.

1. I HOPE SHE WINS. SHE IS THE GREATEST. *___*

2. You are so smart. ♥♥♥ And I agree- they don't know what to do with Britta, and it shows.

And that is TRAGIC, because &BRITTA;

I'm actually pretty impressed at how they've managed to push him SO VERY FAR past the point of redemption. Really? You're letting a little kid go to an abusive home so that she could possibly cross between worlds? Really?

I liked him better when he was just kind of crazy. :(

I would watch bb!Olivia's TV show, though. I WOULD WATCH IT ALWAYS.

I understand liking him... when not thinking too hard about him. Like, when he's just a cheerful doddering old man, and you push it past to the back of your mind because of focusing on &OLIVIA;, fine, whatever. But to genuinely consider his character and not find him kind of appalling?

That is fucked. I'm sorry.

(YA TIE IN NOVEL: TWO STORIES IN ONE. ONE SIDE OLIVIA'S CHILDHOOD, FLIP THE BOOK FOR ALTLIVIA'S. :D? :D?)
