'kay, so firstly I just woke up, and secondly it was two years ago for me, too, so therefore I bring no promises of an in-depth summary, or even particularly accurate details.
But they destroy whatever the Rambaldi Artifact of the Season was, Jack gets shot and then sacrifices himself to bring down Sloan, it was really badass. Irina dies, too, I think in a fight with Sydney over the key to the RAotS? Something like that, it involves a glass skylight.
Then we skip forward to Five Years Later or somesuch, Syd and Vaughn are happy living peacefully in Not The US; I don't remember if she's stop doing the spyjobs or not, but either way Dixon's trying to persuade her to do just one more. Then there's a pan to another room, where - O NOES - SpyDaughter is putting together those SpyBlocks. But it's OKAY!! because when Sydney tells her not to play with those, she says they're not that much fun anyway, and they go hand-in-hand to supposedly engage in wholesome family activities. And everyone lives happily ever after, except the ones who're
Oh yeah, Sloane drinks some Extra Strength Rambaldi Juice and gets his immortality, but then Jack blows up himself and the cave (with the excellent line, "You beat death, Arvin, but you couldn't beat me"), trapping immortal Sloane forever.
Plus, Irina turns into a Bond villian.
The first part of the TWoP recap is here, the second part is here.
The Irina bit actually FUCKING SUCKED, because it basically retconned all her previous character development. But hey, I get to snark about that in my thesis. *g*
Jack proved once again to be the world's most badass man ever.
The Irina part is so bad, that everyone I know who loved the show considers this to be the fake Alias finale because JJ Abrams was too busy drinking the Tom Cruise koolaid to write the finale. Ergo, it doesn't count.
