The slow burn of this chapter was just perfection. It was tense and something about it just struck me. It's so real though- two boys from working class Queens really, really would not be allowed to fall in love. I think that's been the undercurrent of their story- told from your point of view. It makes it so heartbreaking when they can just almost pretend that it's okay...that their mothersfatherscousinscommunity would be able to see that they love each other and it's not wrong or bad. Poor, poor boys.

I love your Turtle so much. I have no words. I mean I've always loved Turtle- because he is the ultimate mooch- but I like how you see him fitting into their whole friendship dynamic-

Turtle was like the brute strength, or the comic relief

Yes. All that and so much more.

This? Was hard to read. That's really all I can say. That and - have you been reading my private scribblings? cause a friend and I have been playing with some Eric/vince D/s. Both bondage and Vince-as-a-dog have come up in our cracked out musings and its just...funny you should go that way.

Now I am crying a little. God, this chapter just killed me. The scene at the table after the wake was beautifully rendered; I could see it perfectly. Well done.

Wow! I pretty much cried my way through this part, when just before the Ari cover up had me giggling hysterically, and the switch flowed perfectly-I pretty much don't think I could give feedback that would do justice to how good this is.

Let me just reiterate how amazing this whole series is, how real it feels, how very much I wish someone, somewhere was willing to tell this story or one like it on the air, and how I'll be thinking about this and rereading it for years to come.

Hi my name is Amy and I am an NYU student who is taking a class on Media Criticism. For our project we need to analyze the fan culture surrounding a particular show, and conduct phone interviews with people who create fan fiction and videos about a particular show. Please let me know if you would be willing to talk to me - email me at as3935@nyu.edu.

Thanks,
