However reluctant he was, Squall prided himself on punctuality. It wasn't long after his and Jenny's exchange on the... internet... as Shade had called it, before he was taking his own sword and heading for the training areas. It was mostly just for show-- these 'other-worlders' needed to know this was serious, and what dangers would be involved. But if they were all inexperienced, it would only be basic instruction today.

He gave no greetings to Jenny, simply looked over the empty room and back to her, businesslike. "How many are we expecting?"

Unlike Squall, her face lit up as she saw someone walk into the room. It was boring being by yourself. "Squall!" she said cheerfully. "You're late. But at least you came pretty quick after I asked you," she nodded once, her eyes flitting over to his sword.

After a brief pause, she added, "Hmm, as for the number... I'd say about five or so on the list, but there's a few more that may or may not turn up. Shade's not told me everything."

Be happy I came at all, Squall thought privately, resisting the urge to roll his eyes at her enthusiasm. Instead, he nodded his understanding. Only five... would make the situation more managable, give or take a few. "I suppose we'll have to go through this again if more newcomers arrive."

"Mmm..." Jenny bit her lip in thought for a moment, gazing off as the room began to fill up. She was glad that some people had at least bothered to heed what she'd said.. or maybe Shade had done something. Whichever, it meant she could do her work. "Probably. I don't really mind... it's all I know, really. Fighting, training- but I'm sure they'll easily catch up. There's only so many lessons to teach."

Dragging his feet as he shuffled into the room, Jansen immediately looked around for someone that he recognised from his brief stay on the sub. So far nobody looked too familiar to him. “Great... just great,” he muttered to himself as he fully entered the room and leant against the wall, anxiously fiddling with a small thread that hung down from his fluted sleeve. “Ho-boy..., talk about a frosty atmosphere...,” he murmured as he shifted his weight from his left foot to his right, crossing one leg over the other before looking around again in some vain hope that something had changed in the past few minutes that suddenly made the place seem more pleasant. Nothing had. “Damn... this was a bad idea, a very very bad idea, I should have stayed in my room and pretended I had an upset stomach or something...”

"Stop whining," a cold voice snapped from behind him. Soren had been lurking in the most out of the way spot he could find, scrawling things on a small notepad, but when Jansen had arrived, he'd succeeded in both blocking his view of the training centre and completely distracting him. "You're a rookie. Find someone to train you." His eyes went to the ornate staff Jansen held. "Leonhart also likes to hit things with large objects."

(ooc: I... assumed he would've brought his staff. Is that alright?)

“Huh... wonder if Leonheart is a chick...? ‘Cause that’d be pretty hot...,” Jansen murmured to himself thoughtfully, actually managing to entertain himself with the mental image of a very beautiful woman and his... staff. The image was soon dashed and he was jolted back to reality when the younger youth just kept talking to him. “W-Wait... rookie?! I’m no rookie! You just haven’t had the chance to see my amazing skills yet!” He protested quickly as he lifted one hand to further emphasise it, his other hand keeping a tight hold of the staff weapon that seemed somewhat out of place in his grasp as it looked like a weapon that a moderately-to-high powered mage would carry and Jansen... barely looked mediocre.

(OOC: No problem ^_^)

"He's over there," Soren gestured vaguely in the direction he'd seen Squall earlier. Whether a rookie was trained or not was none of his personal business, but at least he was being helpful now. "If you're going to use it to club things, you should at least put some spikes on it," Soren scrawled something else down. What he was writing was barely visible, just the header; PERFORMANCE REVIEW. "Your name, again?"

After much loudness, much stomping around the submarine and much frustration, Beat decided he'd give into this Shade person. Computer dude. Thing. He'd entered the lion's den before and joined the Reapers, had put up with their orders for a week, so this wouldn't be a challenge. And if Shade kept his end of the deal and sent him back... Well, he was still going to keep an eye open for a way out. Even if Beat had no idea what the hell was going on any more, he always hated the feeling of being trapped. He'd figure something out.

Until then, he'd put up with this. He entered the training room, glancing around to see some people had already arrived. Hadn't some girl called Nena wanted to train him? The hell was that? She wasn't here yet, though, so he unsually remained silent.

Beat, Beat, Beat, Beat... what a stupid name, Nena thought to herself as she wandered into the training room, looking around for the boy from the photograph. Must be a nickname, she concluded, spotting what looked like him from behind. Well, black hat, weird clothes, not even any weapons - it looked like he'd just gotten there, too.

"Hey~! Beat~!" Nena shouted, darting forwards and grabbing his upper arm, yanking him back none too lightly. She faltered a moment. "You're Beat, aren't you?"

Beat made a comically strangled sound like an animal caught in a trap, looking wildly over his shoulder to see who-- or what-- seized him. Apparently his mind was still in the Reaper's Game, and two weeks of the place had made him paranoid. That, and random girls hardly jumped him a lot back when he was alive.

But this was... He'd forgotten her name already. He knew the face, anyways, and she seemed to know him. "Y-yo, whatchu sneakin' up on me for?!"

"I'm meant to be training you!" Nena declared, letting go of him somewhat reluctantly and stepping back, grinning and making a 'v' sign with her fingertips. "I'm Nena Trinity!"

Just as quickly as the smile had appeared, it faded, replaced by an annoyed scowl. "Hey, Shade told you, didn't he? He said he'd told you! Well, he didn't say it, but still, didn't he tell you?"

Sora didn't really want to get back into fighting since he DID just get back to Destiny Islands from beating Xemnas, but there was nothing else to do here. Besides, a few training couldn't hurt right? Especially if they're going to face some new enemies.

He went up to the second level and went to the training area. He looked around looking at all the people there already. "Looks like this is it huh?"

Riku, of course, was not intending to indulge in Shade's plans but... training was training, and monsters were monsters. He couldn't find an excuse to ignore it, especially if it meant getting to spar with Sora.

"Hey." He said simply, passing Sora and taking in what equipment and peers he had to work with.

"Riku!" Sora exclaimed. "Would you like to train with me? Everyone else is pretty busy and I can't train by myself."

He held out his hand and the Keyblade materialized out of nowhere. "Plus, it has been a long time since the last time we fought. This time I'm taking you down!"

Riku shrugged, smiling his usual cocky grin.

"Don't think I'll go easy on you, sport." The Dawn key was in his hands as he took his normal stance, grinning.

"Come on Sora."
