Chris was nastily rearended a block from the office as he left work yesterday. received a concussion, short-term memory loss, and was kept in the hospital overnight. we were all worried... thankfully, he called an hour ago, sounding totally fine, to let us know that he's okay, passed the hospital's speech and cognition test, and has a concussion ( Read more... )

Yesterday, having just gone one block after leaving work, Chris was rearended.

Yesterday, as Chris was leaving work, he was rearended only about a block away from the office.

Yes, I go for flowery.

so while I have your attention, I found the one place that will be showing Nacho Libre on Monday (interestingly, it's a different place from the -- also cheapo -- one that's doing it today):
Starplex Cinemas - Tiffany Park Movies 6 12:55, 3:10, 5:20, 7:30, 9:40

Any of that sound good? Otherwise, maybe we could have a Firefly party at someone's place. I'm always good for Firefly.

That could work, although the absolute only showing I could do would probably be the 7:30 one, as the bus doesn't get me back to my apartment till around 6pm and I'll need some time to do homework after the movie if I have any. Oooo, but Firefly sounds good, too...like really, really good...decisions, decisions ^_^.;;

I think dreamsthatfizz is right about the whole hyphen-thingy. "Rearended" just doesn't look as good as "rear-ended."

And then, if you look at it long enough, it just starts to be funny and inappropriate. Whee!

Ooh, that's better. I could probably even take out "as he left work;" it's not essential. I'll leave up the version I've got for a while longer to elicit some more comments, though.
(thanks for the ling-experiment-via-lj inspiration, by the way.)
