Dude, you've never had kolaches before? Well, okay, I guess you haven't lived in a place where half the population is of Czech descent. Here in Nebrasscrack, where everyone is either German or Czech, kolaches are pretty common. My dad's aunt used to make them and she used either cherry or peach filling, depending on what she had on hand. She'd also melt a couple marshmallows on top of each one. I remember they were so good hot out of the oven.

Hmm...I think I need to learn how to make them.

Well, if you wanna, there's no dearth of recipes out on the intarweb. I found a bunch when I was trying to look up how to pronounce it (turns out my instincts were right).
