All right, then. I woke up a few days ago--no, I definitely wasn't born, I'm no infant and I'm quite sure no one but a golem ever sprang to life fully-grown and walking about--and my memories are gone.

My first question would be: Who bloody took them, but I'm sure anyone with the ability and inclination to go around stealing people's memories ( Read more... )

I don't recognize the emblem, but as animus said, many foodtypes can be found at the bazaar, including ingredients.

My name is Dyad. Welcome to Edensphere.

You do have a point. Still, it is interesting.

At the stables. Horses, wolves, and.. something called kodos as well, but even the word doesn't call any image to mind.

Wolves.

[Thoughtful taps]

I may pay it a visit. Sounds like an interesting place.

That's what I was told, yes. I was surprised that they could be kept domestically.

The stables are labeled on the map, I believe.

Domestic wolves. Right. [Tiny inkscrawl as she lolz to herself]

I had always assumed 'domestic wolves' were simply dogs.

Dogs are the closest there is to the term. There's no such thing as a domestic wolf. If there were, they wouldn't be wolves.

I'm sure there are some breeds of dogs that are particularly wolf-like, such as huskies, but you're right- dogs are far enough apart to not be wolves.

I don't think I could begin to imagine Veda anywhere close to being a wolf.

It's not the physical characteristics that matter. Wolves just belong to themselves.

Who's Veda? Your pet?

True- themselves and their pack, I believe? but I'll admit not knowing much of their behavior.

He is- He's a sweet, albeit dim, maltese.

Mmm. Something like that.'

Ah. A fluffy dog.

Perhaps I should spend more time at the stables.

He is rather fluffy, yes. Shortly after I arrived here, Miss Cheers gave him to me, claiming that his owner left and she had been stuck with him.

Be careful with him. Just because he's cute doesn't mean he can't horribly savage a man.

...I'm not sure if he could get his mouth around my wrist, let alone savage me- unless perhaps I was asleep or held down. Still, I like to think he would have no reason too. He seems happy enough to curl up and sleep on the bed and eat scraps of meat from the bazaar.

If he's got food and toys, you're probably safe, unless he gets delusions of grandeur.
