"How long has he been out there?" Evelyn asked. "An hour," Bobby said.
"But it's below freezing!" she exclaimed. Bobby shrugged. "Be his ass that's frozen for it."
"It's too cold to shovel the driveway," she protested.
"He mumbled somethin' about working to stay," he said, frowning.
"For the love of...go bring him inside!"
Bobby trudged into the wet snow. "C'mon Jackie, inside now," he said.
Jack shook his head. "Not done yet."
"You don't hafta work to stay," Bobby said.
"But..."
"I swear it, Jackie. Promise."
