yesss to rehab. yesss.

It's weird that with all the information we have about Vocal Adrenaline, people still don't consider it to be such a dysfunctional group as it is. (their songs? Rehab/Mercy/Highway to hell) But I think it's a ridiculously great storyline, especially how they managed to do it with so little screentime for Jesse and Sunshine.

Isn't it though? I don't think they have a single POSITIVE song to sing in the entirety of the series. With the possible exception regarding Sunshine's song at Nationals, which I'm on the fence about, and is really more about her and singing than Vocal Adrenaline, so... yeah.

And yeah, that weirds me out too. The THIRD episode has people throwing up due to how ridiculous their practices are. It's pretty explicit, and even VA knows there's something not right about themselves ("That's because we're soulless automatons"). How do people miss this stuff?

Yeah for Sunshine it's more about being able to get out of VA's claws, just like Bohemian Rhapsody was for Jesse. BR is more VA-ish tho since it truly shows the conflict between Vocal Adrenaline and people as individuals, and how it's almost impossible to get away from them.

unsolved mystery! But I think we learn more about what VA stands for in the first couple of eps, than that we do what ND really stands for.

Oh god, things I don't connect until later-

Will accuses Terri of buying things that they can't afford, whilst hiding the purchases from him.

Will is hiding 60 dollars a month from Terri.

The hypocrisy, I can't, what is air.

There's a lot of hypocrisy in this show between Will and Finn vs others. :D The funny thing is that Terri is so much ~the bad guy~ while...... really, they're both to blame.

(That's not a privacy partition vs creepily staring at Rachel during Jessie's girl, etc)

Seriously yes to all of this. I know someone who constantly complains about the show failing to show Will in a good light and I constantly go "did we watch the same pilot? Cause no...Will THINKS he's a good person. People tell Will he's a good person. Will's....not actually a good person."
