Post-apocalyptic setting
Your character's world has ended and purgatory awaits them, a wasteland full of ruined buildings. The surrounding desert constantly wears down the buildings with a neverending wind. There aren't any monsters to worry about, no zombies or demons, but your characters are haunted by the ghosts of people they once knew and there's only one escape from them: death.
[This one's obviously a bit different from the normal parties. You're free to arrange things so that characters have already met and gotten to know each other. To keep a more light-hearted tone, if you don't want to involved with the wasteland or your character dies, you're free to have your character sit in heaven or hell, watch the others, sip wine among the clouds or fire and brimstone, and make commentary.
